FAQ

Below is a list of the most common questions we get asked….

Is there a difference in a certificate or a diploma?
No. A diploma is simply another name for a certificate.
How does a correspondence course work?
Our correspondence course consists of 10 modules. Each module contains a test paper which is sent to the college for marking before the next module is sent out. This way the tutor can assess your progress as accurately as possible while eliminating misconceptions that may arise.
Do I gain practical experience during my course?
Hands on experience may be gained by following the practical guidance video and while working on friends and family. You will find anyone is more than willing to be pampered by you. Just make sure you gain feedback from your volunteers and listen to their needs.
Are there any hidden costs to this course?
There are no hidden costs once you have paid your full enrolment fee. The business plan is an independent module and does not come with the course. It is strictly optional and only necessary if you need a business loan.
Will I be able to use my diploma to start a career?

Yes, you will be able to use your diploma in the UK. In other countries there are different governing bodies though, so if you plan on emigrating this issue needs to be addressed to the country in question.
What if I move home during my training?
This does not pose a problem whatsoever, as we specialise in correspondence. As long as you notify us of your new address no problems will occur.
What happens after I have completed my course?
You will be able to set up your own practice. We can also offer you an exclusive business plan but this is subjected to applicant status requirements.
Will I need to purchase any equipment?
We supply you with all your course requirements, apart from a massage couch, towels and additional reading books.
How much can I earn as an aromatherapist per hour?
travelThis can vary, especially if you work for someone else. If you become self-employed, expect to earn at least £20+ per hour or even more, depending on where you’re situated and who your competitors are.
How long does it take to learn aromatherapy?
This varies from person to person, but do remember to progress at your own pace. A basic understanding of the subject before giving any treatments is essential.
What if I don`t like the course?
We allow you 30 days to inspect the course and its contents in the comfort of your own home. If you are not completely satisfied within this period, you can send it back for a refund.
What is the pass rate?
Most of our students progress steadily at the rate of around 98% succeeding. If you have any doubts about passing successfully, we will turn those doubts into dust. We guarantee to carry on tutoring you through the course until you pass.
Do you offer any support to students?
Yes, if you have any queries you are welcome to contact us so we can discuss them further. If you are in any doubt, just give us a call or email us.
Is the course expensive?
This course is reasonably priced and has been kept well below its real value, to allow people from all walks of life to access learning from home. During our nationwide study we can confidently say that no other college or correspondence course in the UK offers so much value at such a low price.
Will I get letters after my name?
frameIt’s important that you do not go after a home study course because it makes such offers once you have completed their approved course. The only time you can gain legitimate initials after your name is if you join a professional association such as the FHT or complete an approved degree course from a university.

Its also important to consider who they are associated with as many websites exist stating they are accredited by such number of bodies but in actual fact it may not be the case. The only way to determine whether its fact is to contact the association they claim to be associated with.

The ODLQC are a good starting point and we have been in contact with them before but a high turnover is required in order to subscribe to their service, which would raise our course fees therefore we have currently chosen to opt out. They can be contacted directly on our links page.
